CEE Transfer Student Information

Students transferring into the Civil or Environmental Engineering programs at the University of Central Florida generally transfer in some or all of the following courses (listed by priority):

Calculus I, II, and III (MAC 2311, 2312, 2313)
Physics with Calculus I and II (PHY 2048 and 2049) with labs
College Chemistry I and II (CHM 1045 with lab and 1046 with lab if EnvE)
Differential Equations (MAP 2302)
Macroeconomics (ECO 2013)
A Speech Course (SPC 1016 or 1600)
Basic Surveying (SUR 1100)
An A.A. from a Florida Community College.

Students transferring from Valencia Community College may also transfer the following:

EGS 2310 – Statics
EGS 2373 – Principles of Electrical Engineering
EGS 2025 – Probability and Statistics for Engineers
EGS 2321 – Dynamics
EGS 1006 – Introduction to Engineering
EGS 1007 – Engineering Concepts and Methods

ALL of the above courses are needed within the CE, EnvE, and ConE programs whether taken at a Community College or at UCF. Your first term schedule at UCF will depend upon what transfer courses you have completed. Your PRIORITY in scheduling for the initial few terms should be:

Term 1:
- EGN 3310 (Statics) if you have completed Calc II & Phy I
- STA 3032 (Engr Statistics) if you have completed Calc II
- ENV 3001 (Intro to Env Engr) if you have completed Calc II & Chem II
- EGN 3613 (Engr Econ Analysis) if you have completed ECO 2013
- EGN 3373 (Prin EE) - if you have completed Phy II and Diff Eqn as co-req
Term 2:
- EGN 3321 (Dynamics)
- EGN 3343 (Thermodynamics)
- EGN 3331 (Mechanics of Materials)
- CWR 3201 (Engr Fluid Mechanics)
- CCE 4003 (Intro to Constr Industry)

Carefully consult the CE, EnvE, or ConE Course Flowcharts to determine the needed pre-requisites or co-requisites for courses in your program. In addition, your academic advisor, Ms. Carol Ann Pohl, located in the Department Office (Engr2-211) can assist you with specific questions.

Note:Minimum grade requirement of a “C” or better in EGN 3310 is required of all students.
Minimum grade requirement of a “C” or better in EGN 3331 is required of CE or ConE majors.
Minimum grade requirement of a “C” or better in ENV 3001 is required of EnvE majors.
