Dr. Ahmed Khalafallah is an Assistant Professor of Construction Engineering at the University of Central Florida. He joined the Department of Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering in 2006. Khalafallah received his PhD in 2006 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, his MS in 2002 from Cairo University of Egypt and his BSc in 2000 from Cairo University of Egypt. He accumulated more than 8 years of research and teaching experience at a number of leading institutes including the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of Central Florida, Cairo University, and the Queen's University of Belfast. His current research interests are in the areas of construction optimization, planning and maintenance of infrastructure projects, quality control of construction activities, cost analysis of operations, and risk management.
